Christopher James Gay is a professional visual artist and industrial designer.   For over twenty-five years, he has created fine art, commercial art, and functional art for international clients.  He is a two-time national poet-laureate competition finalist and has exhibited a bespoke furniture line at Design Within Reach,  inspired by his life-long passion for motorsports.   

His multifaceted background in visual art, theatre and film, music, and literature, have enabled him to juxtapose the avant garde with Classicism, Conceptual Art with craft.  HIs acquired years of practical design, art, and craftmanship have afforded him the ability to create uniquely inspired hand-made objets d'art for clients such as Hilton, Omni Hotels,  432 Park Avenue, the United States Navy, the United States Marine Corps., the United States Army, the United States Air Force, Clubcorp USA,  3-form, the University of California, and Warner Bros. Music, to name a few.

Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art (Studio) from U.C.S.D., where he studied film, theatre, music, drawing, sculpture, with an emphasis on Conceptual Art and Performance Art under Eleanor Antin, Allan Kaprow, Jerome Rothenberg, Jean Pierre Gorin, Ernest Silva, and Italo Scanga.

This website is a leap into the future, and is an ongoing dossier of new works.  All works are current, with the exception of London Calling and Scabz.
